Saturday, 12 June 2010 |
We will see the Series 2 Hamster Japanese erasers sometime during the week of June 14. They will becoming to us, like usual, in the Iwako 60 piece master boxes.
Anticipating that the white hamster Japanese eraser will be the most popular, Iwako USA will ship a 60 piece master box with only white hamster Japanese erasers. In addition, there will be a mixed assortment as well, from which, we will create our Complete Series Sets. We will also make available individual Series 2 Hamster Japanese erasers.

Saturday, 12 June 2010 |
Iwako USA is shipping the horse erasers the week of June of June 14. We should have them posted by the middle of the week and ready to ship.
We are curious to see what the production colors are. As we have noted before, some of the horse Japanese erasers come with a dark brown mane, tail and hooves, while others come with a beige color. We do not know which color horse Japanese erasers come with which color manes, tails and hooves.

Dream Zensinsyoji Eclair Japanese Eraser Pair With Pink Filling |
|
Thursday, 10 June 2010 |
Perusing through a shipment of Dream Zensinsyoji box dessert set Japanese erasers, we found that the cream puff Japanese erasers were a new color combination. The current food eclair pair of Japanese erasers comes with a yellow and white filling.
The eclair Japanese erasers pictured with the pink are the latest color variations. We have not seen this color in the 60 piece Japanese eraser master boxes from Dream Zensinsyoji, but sometime in the near future we should.
If you are interested in these Japanese eclair erasers with the pink filling, just click on the eclair pair link and put your email in the " Notify Me" and if we get inventory, you will be notified.

New Peels and New Bananas |
|
Friday, 04 June 2010 |
In July the 2 new colors of the banana Japanese erasers arrive from Iwako USA. The pink peel banana Japanese eraser and the lavender peel banana Japanese eraser.
There is another difference
between the banana Japanese erasers. The color of the actual banana differs. In the pink and yellow skin banana Japanese erasers, the banana has a slight beige hue. For the lavender and green skin banana Japanese erasers, the actual bananas are white.. If these banana erasers had been made by Dream Zensinsyoji rather than Iwako USA, we would say the color variations were due to Dream Zensinsyoji´s less than precise color control. Iwako is too careful with their production and the white and beige bananas are intentional.

What Would Pink and Lavender Bananas Taste Like? |
|
Thursday, 03 June 2010 |
Iwako has continued creating fruit that is not of this world. Coming July, two new colors of the banana Japanese erasers will appear. We will see a pink and lavender peeled banana Japanese erasers. The green and yellow bananas will be still available. In these new colors, these banana Japanese erasers look much more tasty than the conventional yellow and green skinned version.
Other fruits that we would like to see exist but don´t are the blue, orange and lavender cherries.

Light and Dark Bread Crusts |
|
Wednesday, 02 June 2010 |
We like receiving shipment from Dream Zensinsyoji. Almost every time, we get new color variations in their
Japanese erasers. Pictured are all the variations of the Dream Zensinsyoji bread erasers to date.
Dream Zensinsyoji packages the bread Japanese erasers in loaf containing 4 slices of both white and dark bread. Other versions are packed 2 slices in a package. The 2 Japanese eraser bread slices are combinations of white and dark breads. We are just showing what variations we have received from Dream Zeninsyoji. You can create these combinations yourself, if so inclined.
The color variation in the bread erasers occurs in the crusts of the dark bread Japanese erasers. Looking at the pictures of the dark bread Japanese eraser pairs, you can see that the right pair has a lighter brown crust than the other dark bread Japanese erasers.
For those of you who peeled your crusts off your slices of bread as a child, you can do the same to the Dream Zensinsyoji bread Japanese erasers as well.

Iwako Japanese Erasers So Obscure That Nobody Ever Noticed |
|
Tuesday, 01 June 2010 |
When we started selling Iwako Japanese erasers a while ago, Iwako had a series of Hot Spring Bun Japanese erasers. We dutifully ordered them, as we were determined to offer everything that Iwako and Dream Zensinsyoji made. We still offer all the Japanese erasers, but there are a few more types than when we started out.
We can not remember the last time we sold one of the Iwako Hot Spring Bun Japanese erasers, so we looked. The last time somebody ordered one of these food Japanese erasers was on March 10.
We went to our importers site, Iwako USA, to see if they were still offered. They are not.
With all the new exciting Iwako and Dream Zensinsyoji Japanese erasers coming shortly, such as Series 2 Hamsters, or the Iwako Horse Japanese erasers, we expect the Iwako Hot Spring Bun Japanese erasers will remain obscure. At the rate we are selling them, it will be 2048 by the time we are out of stock.

How the Brown Bears Became Rare Bears |
|
Sunday, 30 May 2010 |
Series 1 Bear Japanese erasers have become rare again. These animal erasers are still being made, but us retailers must buy them in an Iwako assortment rather than a master box containing only Series 1 Bear Japanese Erasers.
We were able to buy Series 1 Bear Japanese erasers in a 60 piece Iwako master box, but that offering has been discontinued.
The 60 master box that the bear Japanese erasers currently come in also contain 2 colors of Series 1 Rabbit Japanese erasers and 3 colors of the dog Japanese erasers.
So in the Iwako master box we only get about 7 pieces each of both bear Japanese erasers. The Series 1 bears have always been good sellers, especially when Series 2 bears with their odd colors were introduced. The dogs and rabbits also can be had in 60 piece exclusive assortments.
In case you were wondering, the "K" on the standing bear´s sweater stands for Kuma, which means bear in Japanese.
