Three Eggs and a Yolk of a Different Color
Thursday, 06 May 2010
Dream/Zensinsyoji is  adding new colors to their eggs which should ship somewhere in July.  The current egg Japanese eraser has a white shell.  The new egg Japanese erasers have lavender, powder blue and pink shells. If you look closely, the yolk of the blue egg eraser is more orange than the yellow of the lavender and pink egg erasers. We do not know if the production egg Japanese erasers will have this yolk variation.

If We Could Only Get Yoshi As A Japanese Eraser........
Monday, 03 May 2010
I would taking a double look too.  Yoshi should be worried. The Iwako Green and White Hamster eraser has the green and white colors of Yoshi, but has it backwards.  White head and green belly. It should be the other way around.  Iwako hamster erasers should stick to being hamster erasers, not trying to be one of the celebrity characters from the Mario gaming series.

7 Days of Rabbit Erasers
Sunday, 02 May 2010
Iwako and Dream/Zensinsyoji pretty much have the market cornered on Japanese eraser cuteness.  However, that is not to say there are not exceptions. The 7 Days of Rabbit Erasers pretty much meets the high bar set by Iwako and Dream for cute. These erasers are made in China rather than Japan, but they are good enough for us.

They come packaged in a clear plastic hinged storage box.

Grin And Bear It, Because The Japanese Bear Eraser Is Not Coming Off The Pencil
Saturday, 01 May 2010

The "We Love Bear´s Country"
BeGoody pencils have a little
bear Japanese eraser attached
to the top of the pencil. We do
not know if this eraser is made
by Iwako or Dream/Zensinsyoji.

The bear Japanese eraser is
unique to the BeGoody pencils
and are not available as separate
pencil toppers. You have to buy
the pencil to get the bear Japanese eraser.

On the BeGoody pencils, the Japanese erasers are permanently attached and can not be removed from the pencil.

BeGoody and Drink Your Tea
Friday, 30 April 2010
From the Japanese pencil maker BeGoody, we have pencils that are topped with either Iwako or Dream/Zensinsyoji Japanese erasers.

31 different types of pencil Japanese eraser combinations are available.  The combination of the BeGoody cedar pencils and Iwako Japanese erasers is almost too much cutness to endure.

The pencils can be found in the BeGoody Iwako section of the Japanese Eraser category at sausalitoferry.com.

The Tea Cup Topper pencils are particulary interesting. The tea cup Japanese erasers are made by Dream/Zensinsyoji. The color combinations of the tea cup Japanese erasers are ones that we have not seen before and are not available in open stock in the food eraser section

We Like The Yoko Ono Prime Minister Part
Thursday, 29 April 2010

Official of the Japan National Wildlife Society recently announced the shocking discovery of golden hamsters on the remote island of Iwako off the coast of Japan.  Chief scientist Mr. Yamada of the Japan National Wildlife Society reported surprising discovery of a new breed of hamster among a dozen unusual colors on Iwako island, however, they are not able to explain the origin or the cause of the new colors.  It has been a legend in the Japanese tradition about the golden hamsters, but until the recent discovery, it has never been proven. Prime Minister Yoko Ono declared the first week of May as the Golden Week for a weeklong celebration, whereby all government offices, banks and private companies will be closed for a week.

All White Iwako Hamster Japanese Erasers
Tuesday, 27 April 2010
Sometime this year, Iwako will ship a series of limited edition hamster Japanese erasers. There will be only one production run of each of the color combinations. Once they are sold out, there will be no more. This is different from the rest of the Iwako Japanese erasers which are always being made.

The body of the Iwako hamster erasers come two parts, the belly section and the head section. Each of the new limited edition hamster erasers will come with one of those sections in a unique color that is not found in the currently available hamster
Japanese erasers.

Over the next few weeks we will be adding more of the limited edition hamster erasers. Stay tuned.

Orange and Yellow Forks and Spoons
Wednesday, 21 April 2010
In the Iwako theme sets there are few Japanese erasers that can only be found in these packaged eraser collections. The Kitchen Theme Japanese Eraser set has such erasers. The knife and spatula erasers only available this way and we have never had them open stock or available individually.

Upon opening an Iwako 60 Japanese eraser kitchen master box, we found a fourth color version of the fork and spoon erasers.  The handles are orange and yellow.
They are up on the site and can be found at www.sausalitoferry.com/index.php

Iwako Giraffe Japanese Erasers Arrive Today. Girl Goes Hysterical
Tuesday, 20 April 2010
The Iwako giraffes Japanese erasers arrived today, Tuesday, April 20. We were working our way down the "Call when the giraffe erasers come in" list at our brick and mortar, Games People Play.  A young girl picked up the phone and when we told her that they arrived she could not stop screaming. We are glad she is not our child.
