Series 1 and Series 2 Pandas and Hamster Japanese Erasers |

  As Iwako expands their Japanese eraser collection we are seeing more than one version of some animal erasers. We already have Series 1 and Series 2 Panda animal erasers.

One of the first Japanese erasers sets is the hamster Japanese erasers www.sausalitoferry.com/index.php, and though we have not seen pictures, there will be Series 2 of the hamster erasers arriving in about a month. We will publish photos as soon as we get samples.

So What Is A Preproduction Sample? |

 Pictured is the preproduction sample of the Iwako horse Japanese eraser. The actual eraser is exactly the same as the ones that we will ship in June. Packaging is nearly the same, except for the header card which is unprinted. Actually, the header card is one used for banana erasers, just folded so you can not see the printing. The design for the new header card is yet to be released.

In June sometime, the Iwako horse Japanese erasers will become available. This Iwako eraser set will be made up of 8 different colors. New to the colors is white and we believe that this is the first all white animal eraser.
The 8 piece Iwako horse Japanese eraser series is the second animal eraser group that contains 8 erasers. The other is the hamster erasers. The biggest set is the baby erasers which comprises 10 erasers in all.

 Similar to the giraffes, Iwako will be releasing a horse animal Japanese eraser series. The photo we received is of production samples. We do not know what colors will be actually produced or when this Iwako eraser set will be available.
We do like the white horse.

Pink And Yellow Iwako Sunfish Japanese Erasers |

 Iwako makes theme sets. The Japanese erasers in each Iwako eraser are always available as individual erasers. There is one exception to this rule. Two colors of the sunfish animal erasers in the sea life Iwako eraser set are unique to the set and can not be had separately.
A few blue sunfish animal Japanese erasers do come in the Iwako assorted sea life master box. We sell out of these quickly and are out of stock most of the time.

When Does An Iwako Blue Elephant Japanese Eraser Do Not Exsist? |

 We received the following email.
"Why can I only get the blue elephant in the complete series set and not by it´s self. I do not think this is fair to make me buy a bunch of erasers just to get the color I want"
That email sent us scurrying to the Japanese Animal Erasers section of the site only to discover that we had never posted the blue elephants. We have fixed the error.

Kabocha or Japanese Pumpkin Eraser |

 Kabocha is a variety of Japanese winter squash that grows up to 8 pounds. The interior is a bright orange and is naturally sweet. It is commonly used as an ingredient in vegetable tempura, soups and other side dishes.
Kabocha can also be found on one of the Korean tofu erasers in "None of the Above" eraser section.

These are pre-production samples of the cow animal erasers with a black lower body. They are not going to be made.
If you need to make your own, you can take a black and white cow and switch out the appropriate eraser parts to assemble one fo these animal erasers.
We know we should have taken these Iwako cow Japanese erasers against a white backround, but we did not.

     Since we are on the subject of cuteness, we must vote for the Iwkao baby dino erasers as the most endearing of all 623 of Japanese erasers.

     The newly hatched dinosaur pencil topper Japanese eraser is one of the first erasers that Iwako made when they began making erasers. The baby dinosaur eraser can be removed from it´s egg and can be placed on top of pencil as well.
We will see these truly cute Japanese erasers sometime in June. We will make them available as complete Iwako erasers sets and as individual bundles of cuteness.
