A new series of Japanese toy erasers will be available late September 2009. There will be 7 colors, green, blue, fuchsia, purple, orange, gray and yellow. They will be sold individually and as a complete Japanese eraser set. These toy erasers have, as some of the other types of Iwako and Zensinsyoji erasers, a hole at the bottom of the eraser,so they can be used as pencil toppers. They can be found in the Toy Eraser section at sausalitoferry.com.
These erasers are manufactured by Iwako, and were originally made for a museum in Japan in honor of the famous Japanese Samurai Lord Miyamoto Musashi (?? ??). Born 1584 and died 1645.
This production run of Iwako toy erasers is for the US market only and is not available in Japan.
These rubber pencil toppers are larger than the typical Iwako toy erasers at 1.5 inches tall and 1.25 inches wide.
