Tintin in Tibet, Air India and Chang Chong-Chen

For the Summer 2015 Moulinsart Tintin Collection, a series of eight model airplanes that appear in the Adventures of Tintin will be available. The plane is mounted on a stand, with the involved character on the base. Made of a combination of metal and plastic components, each model is packaged in a clear round display box. Overall height of the model is six inches.

In Tintin in Tibet, Tintin’s friend Chang, having been rescued by Tintin and Capt. Haddock, recounts the crash of the Air India flight he was on into a snowy Himalayan peak. Injured and the only survivor, Chang wakes up, eye to eye with a Yeti in his lair. The Yeti nurses Chang back to health, only to watch with distress as Tintin and Haddock bring Chang back to civilization.

The model depicts the Air India DC 3 with Chang is on the base, struggling against the elements just after the crash.
