In a de Havilland Canada Chipmunk, Tintin pursues  the counterfeiter Dr. Muller and accomplice in the in The Adventures of Tintin, The Black Island. Herge became obsessed with technically correct renderings of aircraft and the numerous planes depicted in The Black Island reflect this.

Fuselage is 10.6cm (4.1”) long and and the model has a wingspan of 14.5cm (5.7”). Plane is made of die cast metal, base and other parts are of ABS plastic.
