Herge used the Italian made Savola-Marchetti throughout the Tintin books. This configuration has a yellow fuselage with Belgian registration and Sabena livery. Other colors and aircraft markings are used in other books. This tri-motor passenger aircraft appeared in the first color edition of The Adventures Of Tintin, The Black Island. Plane is 9.5cm (3.75”) tall, 12cm (4.75”) long and has a wingspan of 16.5cm (6.5”). Plane is die cast metal and the rest ABS.
